Michael Bowler ACII
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Michael is one of the founding directors of BKG Insurance Group for whom he acted jointly as Financial Director and responsible for the commercial general insurance division. In 2006, COBRA Holdings was created, bringing together a number of companies including BKG. Michael subsequently became both Financial Director of COBRA Insurance Brokers Limited and Managing Director of COBRA Underwriting Agencies Limited and draws experience from both an underwriting and broking business perspective.



Frank Such ACII
UNDERWRITING DIRECTOR

Frank was appointed Underwriting Manager for COBRA Underwriting Agencies on it’s formation in 2006. Frank has over 30 years of underwriting experience and has worked for Lombard and St Paul at senior management level. In January 2008, Frank was promoted to Underwriting Director of COBRA Underwriting Agencies Limited. Frank brings both a great knowledge of commercial underwriting and account management and has a long, consistent record of delivering profitable underwriting results.


 

 Steve Burrows
CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Steve was appointed director of Berry, Birch and Noble at the age of 25 and went on to form Burrows, Keith & Associates Limited. Burrows, Keith & Associates Limited then became the BKG Group of Companies and ultimately part of the COBRA group of companies in 2006. Steve has focused over his insurance career on marketing and new business within the general commercial insurance industry. For the past 10 years Steve has carried out the role of chief executive officer and until recently was the chairman of COBRA. He continues to sit on the board of all Group companies, together with the Acquisition Committee of COBRA Insurance Management, the Audit Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Marketing and Compliance Committees of COBRA Insurance Management.


Hannah Poulton ACA
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Hannah qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 before working as an auditor specialising in regulated companies. In 2001, Hannah moved to COBRA London Markets Limited, a former audit client, advancing to Finance Director in 2004.  Hannah was appointed as Finance Director of the COBRA Group on its formation in September 2005 and now sits on the board of all companies in the Group, together with the Acquisition Committee of COBRA Insurance Management, the Audit Committee, the Nomination Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Compliance Committee of COBRA Insurance Management.


David Drew FCII
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT

David held several senior underwriting management and board positions with Lombard General Insurance before, in 1999, successfully launching the commercial division of Folgate Insurance. Following transfer of the business and his team to St Paul in 2003, David was appointed Assistant General Manager responsible for their Mid Market business. David decided to take early retirement in 2006 but was lured back from the golf course to support the development of CUA on a consultancy basis. David brings extensive experience in underwriting and management accumulated over 34 years in the industry.
